“SUGPISE”

Shot List
1.(Bird’s Eye) Middle Class Suburb Street (all houses look pretty much the same), at night, all the houses are lit, but one.
2.(Slow Zoom with cross fade transition, Long Shot with tight framing on the house) We get closer to this house, in silhouette we see someone mysterious sneaking towards the front door
3.(Medium shot) By his look we know it’s a robber, looking around to check if nobody sees him and he takes out a small tool.
4.(Close up of the door’s knob and robber’s hand) He uses it to crack the door’s lock open, CRACK!
5.(Close up on the robber) Sinister look and smile.
6.(Full Body Shot) He pushes the door and side steps inside the house.
7.(Cut on action, inside the house, Same Shot type) Robber enters the house back against the wall.
8.(Medium Shot) Robber hunches slowly while rubbing his palms and looking around.
9.(Slow Panning/Establishing shot of the house, Panning freezes abruptly while couch is in focus) SWITCH!!! (Lights go on) 4 People pop from behind the sofa, SURPRII...eeeh.
10.(Quick Zoom to frame tight on the people and the sofa) HUUUH???
11.(Full Body Shot on the Robber) Robber gets all straight and freezes, he is freaked out.
12.(Medium Shot) Eye darts, thought process, Takes his gun out and points at them.
13.CUT TO BLACK
14. SWITCH, Lights go on (Full Body Shot) we see a man on the front door, hand on the light switch
15.(Close up on him) His expression changes to that of a stunned person.
16.(Cut to his POV) The four people are in the middle of the now empty house, tied and muzzled, one of them murmurs “Sugpise”

6.(Full Body Shot from behind) He gently pushes the door slightly open and silently side steps inside the house.
7.(Cut on action, inside the house, Same Shot type) Robber enters the house back against the wall; He leaves the door open.
8.(Medium Shot) Robber hunches slowly while rubbing his palms and looking around.
9.(Slow Panning/Establishing shot of the house) We see a couch, a center table, and a brand new Plasma TV with a ribbon on it.
10.(Panning freezes on TV, Quick zoom to tight frame on the TV) TV shines
11.(Medium Shot) Robbers face gets full with desire.
12.(Full Body Shot) Robber sneaks towards the TV.
13.(Medium Shot) Robber grabs the TV and starts turning around when...SWITCH, lights go On! And we hear “SURPRISE!!!” The robber reacts by hunching tense and freezing.
14.(Full Body Shot) A cop is on the front door, hand on light switch, looks at the robber then turns to see who's behind the couch.
15.(Whole group is framed) We see 4 cops STUNNED wearing their uniforms and party hats, a sign behind them says (“HAPPY BIRTHDAY SGT. OTTO”)
16.(Medium Shot) Frozen Robber holding the TV, STUNNED, slowly, shaky and insecure starts extending out his arms to offer the B-Day Cop his own TV and we hear FREEZE!!! Robber lifts his arms up
17.(Cut on action; Full Body Shot) TV falls to the floor and breaks.
18.(Close up on robber) GULP.
